one: it discourages kids from seeking avenues of valuable self-expression

two: it ignores the fact that every single thing that was *designed*, needed an artist to design it. every piece of your furniture. all of the clothes you wear.

three: it also ignores the value of culture itself, and its ability to evolve

art, and artists, are more important than most people think
