Sooo not sure how appropriate this is but I figured i might ask anyway.
I've been doing some questioning on gender expression and gender in general recently, but not really in a full-trans way, if that makes sense. I don't really know anyone enby/agender/genderqueer person and I kinda have questions about the experience and coming to realizing and things like that, so I guess if any of y'all are interested in helping a lost soul, I'd really appreciate it.
@furkachi hey there, I’m an enby
@error_1202 Thanks a lot for sharing that! Having a trans brother I have a good idea of the problematic and mindset of being trans, but for fuzzier gender definitions and expressions I'm more or less clueless to be honest. Hopefully exploring and talking to people can give me a more grounded idea of these things!
Yeah I have a bunch of trans friends and I knew my experience wasn't like theirs and didn't want to step on their toes. But it turns out that didn't make me cis after all (I thought it did, for a long time). :)
@error_1202 Yeeeeeaaah, I'm actually quite terrified to mention it to my brother for the exact same reason. Saying I'm non-cis feels real weird but that's really a label issue so it's going to be mostly getting accustomed to it I suppose (also when I say non-cis I immediately think trans woman and since I'm pretty sure that's not who I am it just feels strange saying it)
@furkachi hey! Genderqueer enby here. I'd be happy to try answering your questions.
@furkachi 🤷♀️ each one teach one, whatcha wanna know more about ?
@furkachi hi there!
My gender is a giant clusterfuck atm but I'm here if you have any questions/if there is anything you'd like to discuss! ✨ I'll do my best to answer.
re: boosts appreciated
@furkachi I'm not really good at talking about it but I'm nonbinary! if that matters
genderweird demilady here re: boosts appreciated
I came to realize I was trans about five years ago and nonbinary about two years ago and finally got around to convincing myself that I was actually genderfluid ... uh ... last month? after something like two years of logging that my gender was not static in my journal
(sometimes I have a hard time convincing myself of things)
I can talk about stuff if you're still looking for experiences to compare to your own.
