Also I'm very much set with Mastodon becoming my primary social media now. It's still hard to decondition yourself from trying to make stuff viral. I know I want success, through my writing if I can, but I have to focus on creating it first and not trying to pay tribute to a system that only cares about me as a metric. They're not lying when you say you have to build a network. That needs foundations, and that means content and authenticity. I want to be dedicated to both.

@karozagorus I’ll know this evening, but until I work with our hosting company there will likely be some small post-queueing that delays posts for up to a minute or so when traffic gets reaaaal heavy (which it has been with everyone making accounts, though that’ll die down soon enough!)
