had a cool idea to replicate all the objects in the room, then deactivate all objects, then reactivate only the replicated objects, thus making sure all objects stay on screen but appear paused

but I think I missed a step


alright I fixed it!!!

the particles still disappear but I think there's nothing to do about it since you can't really modify particles after they're created (naturally)

it was suggested to me to limit what objects are replicated, so the game only replicates objects that are actually on the screen - offscreen objects are ignored, as well as invisible objects
